Sofia Fallo

Postdoc

Sofia Fallo is a postdoctoral researcher with a background in medical pathophysiology. Sofia's postdoctoral work focus on the transdifferentiation of limbal stem cells, which is an essential process for the maintenance and renewal of a healthy cornea epithelium. She is also working on finding novel diagnostic biomarkers from the aqueous humor of patients with Fuchs endothelial corneal dystrophy (FECD). 


When not in the lab Sofia loves engaging in outdoor activities such as camping, climbing, and hiking in the mountains with her dog.
