Arianne van Velthoven
PhD candidateArianne is a PhD candidate at MERLN with a strong interest in using stem cells to model neuronal function and dysfunction. Her research project focuses on corneal epithelial regeneration after corneal stem cell therapy, in collaboration with the University Eye Clinical Maastricht and Veneto Eye Bank Foundation. By tracing transplanted cells in a limbal deficient animal model, Arianne aims to uncover the underlying mechanism of corneal regeneration and develop better therapeutic strategies for corneal stem cell therapies.Â
When not in the lab, Arianne enjoys outdoor sports and spending time with family and friends.
